4Your Timer is an innovative AI smart voice-reminder timer designed to adapt to user emotions. It offers a personalized time management experience with different tones and character roles, as well as an engaging character management function. Equipped with adaptive AI voice technology, the timer intelligently adjusts voice prompts according to the user's mood and context.
The six faces of the Timer Cube correspond to exclusive AI characters, a silent mode, and four built-in characters with distinct personality traits. The lively variation in tone can evoke different emotional states in users (Ozzy is suited for efficient, focused modes; Mea offers gentle, caring reminders for relaxation; Lex is irreverent, witty, and cunning for users; while BoBo provides positive, optimistic encouragement when facing challenges).
By simply pressing the Cube in the recess on the top of the Timer and flipping the Cube into the Timer, users can easily switch between these modes, enjoying a new time management experience driven by emotional states.

1. Problem Identifying
Initially, we focused on how people often get interrupted or forget tasks, preventing them from completing their plans. Ultimately, we decided to concentrate on motivation. We aim to increase people’s motivation to help them better focus on work and study.
2. Research
In a 59-person test, scientists used different motivational strategies. There were three experimental control groups: Saturated ( enriched encouragement, Minimized ( emotionless, with little encouragement), and Adaptive ( different incentives according to individual). The result shows that Adaptive learning systems better boost learners’ motivation and attention.

3. Insight
We believe that people need different motivation strategies in various situations, rather than a single, uniform encouragement approach.

How might we bolster motivation for individuals seeking to maintain focus during learning or work tasks?
5. Brainstorming
We explored numerous ideas to find the balance between clear and simple interactions, low learning costs, and engaging experiences that attract users.
6. Ideation
We ultimately designed a square timer with a groove containing a small cube. Each face of the cube represents an AI character with a different personality. To switch the AI character in the timer, you simply pop out the cube, turn it so the desired face is facing up, and place it back into the groove. You can also use your phone to customize your own AI and upload it to the custom AI face of the cube.
7. Feasibility Design
We designed different-sized metal rings to detect which side is facing up. We can identify which character is facing up by determining whether a complete circuit is formed between the rings. The six faces of the small cube are electrically connected, making the cube act as a conductor.

9. 3D Printing
To achieve the most precise and suitable size, we conducted numerous 3D printing trials. Specifically, we tested twelve sets of grooves to determine the optimal depth for the wire fittings.
10. Visual Identity Design
According to the different AI personalities, we designed corresponding visual for each one and created a complete visual scheme for the whole project.
